Scarlett Hobo Bag Pattern 130

The Scarlett Bag is a trendy, hobo style bag that is easy to sew! Jess designed this bag exclusively for Sulky of America. This bag features a tab closure with magnetic snap, tassel, interior slip pocket, comfortable shoulder strap, and darted bottom. The name of the pattern was inspired by one of my favorite classic movies, Gone with the Wind.

FINISHED SIZE: This bag is 13” wide, 13” high, and 3-1/2” deep. The strap drop is 12”.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For the best results, use quilt cotton, canvas, denim, waxed canvas, or linen for the exterior. I recommend quilt weight cotton for the lining. Try using cork or vinyl for the contrast, or you can use quilt cotton, canvas, denim, or linen. TIP - If making the bag from all cotton, you can eliminate the Interfacing and substitute the Fusible Fleece for Foam Stabilizer. This will result in a more structured bag.

HARDWARE REQUIRED: All of the hardware required for this pattern is included in the Scarlett Hardware Kit, or can be purchased individually. Small Rivets can be applied for strap security and as added embellishments.
